ADult ADHD Assessments
ADHD can be complex, and understanding it goes far beyond a simple checklist or a "yes or no" answer. As a counselling psychologist with specialist training in ADHD assessment, I offer a more nuanced, person-centred approach—one that recognises the whole person, not just the symptoms.
My assessments are designed to be collaborative and reflective. We’ll explore your experiences in depth, looking at patterns across your life, challenges you’ve faced and strengths you bring. This is a space to make sense of things together—whether you’ve always wondered about ADHD or recent life changes have brought new challenges into focus.
Rather than delivering a diagnosis in isolation, I support you in understanding what the assessment means for you. This might involve unpacking how ADHD may have impacted your life, your identity, your relationships and your work or studies. I can also help you think about what’s next—whether that’s support, strategies or simply giving yourself permission to see things differently.
This is a thorough, sensitive process—grounded in psychological expertise and shaped by your individual story.

My approach includes an in-depth exploration of your personal history, current challenges, and everyday experiences. We’ll use clinical interviews, the most up-to-date and research-backed questionnaires, and collaborative discussion to build a full picture—not just of symptoms, but of how you’ve been navigating life. This process is relational, reflective and tailored to you.

No—this is about understanding you. While identifying ADHD can be helpful, my assessments focus on meaning-making: how might ADHD traits show up in your life? What else might be going on? And how can we make sense of this in a way that supports you going forward?

Yes, as a practitioner psychologist with specialist ADHD assessment training, I am qualified to carry out ADHD assessments and provide diagnostic conclusions where appropriate. Assessments are also NHS-compliant and recognised by other health providers, including your GP.

That’s absolutely okay. Sometimes people seek assessment thinking it might be ADHD, but through the process we may discover that other factors are more central—like anxiety, trauma, burnout or learning differences. The space we create allows us to explore this together, with care and curiosity.

You will receive a full, in-depth written assessment (at least 20 pages) summarising how likely you are to fit the diagnostic criteria for ADHD and why. Following this, you won’t be left to figure things out alone. I offer follow-up support to help you understand your results, process what they mean emotionally and practically and think about next steps—whether that’s strategies, accommodations, therapy or lifestyle changes.
